Erhard Buzek

Erhard Buzek is an Austrian politician and member of the Austrian People’s Party. He received his doctorate in philosophy and law from the University of Vienna in 1963 and began his academic career. In 1964 he began working as a lawyer. He joined the Austrian People’s Party. He served as Vice-Chancellor in the government of Franz Wranicki from 1991 to 1995 and was chairman of the Austrian People’s Party during the same period. From 2000 to 2009, he also held various positions in European institutions of government as a representative of the Austrian government.
